Hi there! Welcome to my hub!
I am Yza, usually called by my friends as wyza (thus, the title of this blog ^_^). I graduated from the University of the Philippines Los Baños with the degree BS Development Communication. I took my major in Educational Communication (aka Educational Technology) and learned the basics in graphics design, visual aids and materials production, documentary and other video production skills.
During my college years, I participated in the activities of Victory Christian Fellowship Los Baños and became part of the teamworshipLB – Mix team. TeamworshipLB is the joint team of the music team, IT(media) and technical support(mix) team. To honor God and pursue His kingdom, this team worked together to conduct excellent services for God’s glory. I also became a kid’s teacher during Sunday services in my third year because I have this penchant for little kids. 🙂
As a girl, it was my dream to be a part of a production team for a development-oriented television program to practice my skills in communication, public affairs and community works. But then, as years pass by, I guess God has another great plans for me.
I admit, I was a frustrated computer science student; hence, my minor subjects include computer science and statistics. When the time came for me to work on my own website, however, I only have limited practice so eventually, I am still learning and learning. I guess the path for learning never really gets old, right?
Currently, I spend my free time watching movies, chatting with friends, surfing the net and blogging. I previously worked in a call center industry with an internet service provider account so I basically know all about internet troubleshooting. Now, I’m working as product development specialist at a publishing company catering to primary and secondary schools here in the Philippines. For the past eight (8) years working in this company, I’ve learned all about technology integration, e-learning development, project management and the use of emerging technologies in the classroom. Several years ago, I’ve written articles for Maganda Filipino, an e-magazine promoting my country, the Philippines. I also blog about my life’s testimonies so as to share it to the world for inspiration.
Starting 2018, I’ve determined to filter down my posts to anything about e-learning, instructional design and educational technology. Given my professional experience, I’ve determined to share what I know in the Philippine context. Feel free to contact me if you have questions, or any suggestions that I can write about. Follow me on my social media accounts found at the right side of this page if you want to get to know me personally. 🙂
So there. I hope you enjoyed your brief stay here. As you get to explore other things about my life, feel free to browse and share anything you like. Thanks and Godspeed! 🙂
